What causes lung cancer and how is it transmitted?

Smoking causes Lung cancer because within the tobacco there are a substances that are known to cause Lung cancer . Carcinogens are these substances that cause the actual damage in the lungs.Also, air pollution coming from vehicles or factories, if you breath it in, can effect the lungs too. Passive smoking - breathing in someone else's smoke - may also increase the risk for developing lung cancer and this is how it can transmitted.

Depending upon where and how widespread the tumor is, the symptoms of lung cancer can vary.It is not always easy to identify the signs of Lung cancer.A person with lung cancer may have the following kinds of symptoms:
:) No symptoms: (In up to 25% of people who get lung cancer, the cancer is first discovered on a routine chest X-ray or CT scan)
:)Symptoms related to cancer: (Lung tissues and surrounding tissue may interfere with breathing, leading to symptoms such as cough, shortness of breath, wheezing, chest pain, and coughing up blood ).
:)Symptoms related to metastasis: (Lung cancer that has spread to the bones may produce excruciating pain)
:) Other symptoms

  • Persistent chest, shoulder, or back pain unrelated to pain from coughing.
    Increase in volume of sputum.

  • Nonsmoker's cough that persists for more than 2 weeks.
.When you have lung cancer, there is not average since no tumor is average.It mostly depends on what organs are involved and what lymph are involved too.Lung cancer is one of the most common and deadliest cancers. Lung cancer is a very serious form of cancer. This is lethal especially when the uncontrolled growth of cells in the lungs has already spread to the other organs in the body.

Can Lung cancer be cured if so how?

Lung cancer can be cured but even if you are being cured it most of the people do not make it to the end of the treatment.In lung cancer there are three different treatments for three different lung cancers.The first one is for patients that are diagnosed with localized diseases that may be by surgical resection.Secondly, this treatment is for patients have diseases that spread lymph nodes.In these cases,radiation therapy along with chemotherapy and occasionally surgery is used.Firdly,for the patients that may have tumors that already spread to other parts of their body and are typically treated with chemotherapy and sometimes with radiation therapy.Lung_Cancer.jpg
